The annual open doors event of Centria research and development unfolded at the Talonpojankatu campus in Kokkola on October 10th. The event offered a comprehensive overview of Centria research and development’s capabilities, spotlighting research, cutting-edge development, equipment, and various projects. Centria SecuLab, a team within Centria R&D, was also present, showcasing its work on the ISSUES project and highlighting SecuLab’s activities and advancements within the project.
The open doors event was designed to offer visitors deeper insights into the possibilities available through Centria research and development’s international reach. Experts were on hand to discuss how participants could engage with a wide range of initiatives and benefit from the institution’s pioneering efforts. The event featured a broad spectrum of showcased projects, ranging from collaborative robotics and drone-based remote-controlled devices to advancements in digitalization, gaming technologies, cybersecurity and low-carbon energy solutions. Visitors were also introduced to initiatives in training and development services, entrepreneurship, and projects focused on plastic composites and 3D printing, as well as healthcare innovations, biomass utilization, and even music technology.
This dynamic exhibition not only highlighted the forward-thinking projects at Centria R&D but also fostered connections with experts eager to collaborate on future endeavors, further cementing the organization’s role as a leader in research and innovation.
