One of our colleagues, Anton Holmström, had the opportunity to present his work at the International Conference of Information Systems Security and Privacy (ICISSP) 2025 in Porto, Portugal, this weekend.
The paper he presented, “Managing a Ransomware Attack: The Resilience of a Swedish Municipality—A Case Study,” is part of his comprehensive case study of managing a cyber crisis at Kalix Municipality. In this work, Anton views the before, during, and after the attack from three main perspectives: IT Department, Social Administration, and Management. The paper highlights the need for a more comprehensive approach to cyber security, suggesting that cyber resilience is the complement needed for cyber security.
