Cyberkaffe in Jakobstad brought together management representatives and information security officers for an informal but insightful discussion about security challenges in different sectors. The event was held at Centria’s campus in Pietarsaari/Jakobstad.
Johan Lugnet and Åsa Ericson took the opportunity to visit Centria in Jakobstad and test some newly developed prototypes of a red and blue team exercise with the participants. Laura Palovuori and Tom Tuunainen were excellent hosts for the event, which was a productive day of cross-border cooperation at its best. The LTU team had the pleasure of being welcomed into an inspiring environment.
We started the visit with a fruitful discussion in the evening with Joni Jämsä and Laura Palovuori. We had a rewarding dialogue about the current activities and status of the ISSUES project. We discussed potential research directions, including preparedness in sectors traditionally less focused on security. Some initial project ideas were outlined.
Laura, Tom, and their colleague, Jonny, showed us around a laboratory environment focused on production and technology development. The days in Jakobstad left us inspired and energised, and we returned to Luleå with new ideas and reflections for our further work.
