CyberNorth 2025 Highlighted Shifting Perspectives in Cybersecurity

On 6th of May 2025, cybersecurity professionals, researchers, and cybersecurity enthusiasts gathered at Vetenskapens Hus in Luleå for CyberNorth – a conference emphasizing the shift of perspectives in cybersecurity. Organized by Luleå University of Technology and LTU Business, this year’s theme highlighted leadership, culture, and inclusion as key factors in building sustainable digital resilience.

The event emphasized collaboration and among the attendees were also a representation from Centria University of Applied Sciences.

The day featured thought leaders like Jeanette Lund, Anna Borg, and Tobias Ander, who explored how leadership, security culture, and human behavior are central to creating robust cybersecurity frameworks. Ingrid Kihlander and Annika Wägenbauer delved into aligning innovation with security and fostering diversity to strengthen cybersecurity teams. Their insights underscored the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in tackling complex digital threats.

The event concluded with a live podcast, “Cyber Chats & Chill”, where Linda Nieminen, Margarita Sallinen and Tobias Ander reflected on the power of collective action and fresh perspectives in addressing cybersecurity challenges.

Supported by initiatives like ISSUES, SÄKRA, and Cybersäkerhetsnod Norr, CyberNorth 2025 showcased how a holistic approach can redefine the future of cybersecurity.
