We, along with technology professionals and business leaders from across the region, had the pleasure of attending the Lounea ICT Network Event on 7 November 2025 at Kokkola City Hall for a morning filled with expert talks, networking, and the latest innovations in information and communication technology.
Throughout the morning, participants explored current topics ranging from cybersecurity and artificial intelligence to sustainability and future technologies.
Among the keynote speakers, Petteri Järvinen discussed “AI Without Hype, Cybersecurity Without Fear,” offering a realistic perspective on emerging technologies. Joonas Länsmans from Also presented practical examples of Microsoft Copilot in action, while Jutta Valkeinen from Lounea highlighted how sustainability contributes to competitiveness.
Teemu Saari from Check Point Software Technologies emphasized the importance of preparedness in his session “Don’t Let a Cyber Threat Stop Your Operations,” and Elias Koivula from WithSecure provided an up to date “Cyber Threat Outlook 2025.” The day concluded with an inspiring talk on “Knowledge, Technology, and the Future” by renowned astrophysicist Esko Valtaoja.
In addition to the presentations, attendees visited exhibition stands showcasing the latest technology solutions – including Lenovo’s impressive ThinkVision 3D display, which brought images to life without the need for 3D glasses.
The event wrapped up around 12:45 p.m. with a networking lunch, leaving participants inspired by the latest trends and innovations shaping the ICT landscape.
